Barge Center Waalhaven, is one of two terminals for full and empty containers in Rotterdam, managed by the Waalhaven Group.
The terminal, with a capacity of 200,000 TEU can handle ships up to 1,000 TEU with a draft of approximately 9,5 meter.
Recently a second terminal, Waalhaven Botlek Terminal, former Holland Terminals, was acquired. This terminal is most suited for barge operations and is strategically situated between the city and the delta.
Barge Center Waalhaven is designed as a barge and shortsea terminal with all facilities to handle this cargo efficiently and with the required service level.
The terminal is a customs area ‘Entrepot RTO-C'. This enables our clients to tranship their containers with minimal customs procedures and documen¬tation. Barge Center Waalhaven will take care of most of it.
The terminal is equipped with reefer connections and can handle hazardous cargo as well.
Barge Center Waalhaven presents herself as a cost-efficient terminal, able to handle large quantities of containers.
We specialise in offering services other terminals cannot provide for or only at high costs. These services include storage of full and empty containers, customs services and additional trucking.
With the repair and cleaning facilities of Waalhaven Terminal a unique terminal concept is created in the Port of Rotterdam.
